Back to the blog again.
I didn't post over the holidays cause it was too much.
I find the holidays to be stressful without a baby and this year with having CBJ, it was even more so.
Not gonna write about the holiday season except to put that CBJ was a big hit with all she met and that I'm thrilled it is a new year for a fresh start.
:)
That being put out there it's now more than a week into January and things are settling back into the "usual".
Clarabelle is now 3 1/2+ months old and is such a great baby!

Here's the "official" 3 month picture...of course I was behind with the holidays and travels so she is actually 3 1/2 months in the pic but you get the point!

| Happy Baby, Great Outfit...just another day in the life of CBJ! |
Our routine now involves me going to bed a bit later (so 9:00 instead of 7:00! Woo! Woo!) and Clarabelle sleeping in longer stretches. She wakes up to eat and since I breast feed that means I wake up as well. Travis was doing a bottle but she has started sleeping through that feeding, I write that but last night she woke up so he got to give her a bottle...I guess it's ever changing!
I have noticed the changes in her SO much moving from month 3 and heading into month 4.
I think that is because we moved out of the "4th trimester". If you've never heard that phrase, it's the 3 months after the baby is born.
They are so fresh and the world is so big and different they are more fetus than baby in terms of needs. Lots of sleep, feeding, contact with mom/dad.
Not that we still don't do a ton of baby holding/wearing/contact, she's just more expressive/wiggly/and talkative!
CBJ naps well so I get things done around the house and we go out and about a little during the day.
I'm paranoid because it's flu season so we aren't real "travel heavy" right now.
As it warms up and she grows up I think we'll be out and about much more!
I try and do activities with her that we both can enjoy so we do yoga.
:)
My yoga is different now then when I was pregnant and certainly from when I wasn't pregnant.
I do short sequences while CBJ is on the mat with me or I do a longer practice and have her in her bouncer.
Gone are the days when I would set up heaters in the guest bedroom and do a 2 hour hot practice!
But it's good.
It's good to shift.
To have the practice evolve like life evolves.
We also read and play with toys (you know, normal baby type activities).
She's real into her octopus toy...

| Please notice I already dress her in sassy patterns. Do the legging match the onesie? In my world they do! :) |
I have come to discover much of our day evolves around eating (both her and I) and napping (her as I cannot sleep during the day anymore- boo.)
I have learned to not wake a sleeping baby and to not pump until you KNOW the baby is asleep!
These are valuable lessons that took more than one "oops" to figure out!
Life and times around here is pretty simple and I like it.
I stay home with little miss and I teach some yoga.
Travis has to go to work which is a bummer but the weekends are family time so I appreciate the hours much more.
Of course there is more going on and some things I will discuss, others I will not!
I'm gonna delve into breast feeding-and not in a pressuring, you've gotta do it, preachy way but in an honest way.
Basically it makes me HUNGRY.
ALL. THE. TIME.
And I want to explore what foods are filling and what foods help produce more milk and more fatty milk.
If you're not into it, just skip it!
:)
I'm also thinking about delving more into yoga with baby and yoga body after baby.
The body is what it is, which means I look pretty much the same as I did pre-baby but the tone is SO different.
Not complaining...just say'in!
:)
Hope life is good with you that read, going to be more active on here than last year (at least I think so!).
Till the next post, keep life simple and stay well~
