Bump Bakes and Happy 4th~

Still hot.
Still pregnant. So I'm really hot.
I'm still doing my routine of getting up early, getting stuff done and then staying inside as much as possible.
It's been working well so far so I'm going to stick with it!

It's the 4th of July today...
I think having a holiday in the middle of the week is odd, you can't really go anywhere and then you know you have to go back to work the next day.
We laid low and didn't do too much.
I did my usual gym, had lunch with a girlfriend, and had some yoga time.
Travis did some work and he also moved the bed out of our guest bedroom because the baby's crib is being delivered Friday- excited for that!

I also baked today.
I am not a person that loves cooking but I do enjoy baking.
I saw this recipe a few days ago on a blog that I follow called Willow Bird Baking
Great blog, the pictures and stories make for a good read. The recipes are good too! :)

The recipe is for Zucchini Bread which I have never made nor do I remember eating very often when I was younger. I LOVE banana bread and have lots of fond memories but Zucchini....not so much.
I like any recipe where you can sneak in veggies and there weren't a ton of ingredients so I went for it. Bonus- they had a gluten-free version so I didn't have to question if doing the recipe gluten free would mess it up. Love it.

Get the recipe here

As I was mixing and doing Travis made a comment about me being in the kitchen barefoot and pregnant.... here's a view.

The feet look so very, very small....

Here's how we do recipes at our house...not Martha Stewart approved!

Computer on the stove top with what is a skillet underneath. Very professional. :)

I did like that my eggs seemed to be supportive of my baking adventure....

Creepy smile but I'll take it!

Lots of Zucchini went in...

Actually just 2 cups out of the pile but there was a lot of green going on.

Mix....

See, lots of green things in there!

And here's the final product!

Zucchini Bread

Seriously, so good....

Love at 1st bite

I highly recommend you make this.
It's so EASY. And your get some greens in there, granted there's a lot of sugar with those greens but you know, you do what you can!
We thought it tasted like banana bread, I think you could probably just use bananas instead of zucchini if you really wanted banana bread actually...
But you REALLY should do the zucchini. Cause it's real good. : )

Avery was my little helper so after the baking we had to take a break...

She loves yet hates the camera. Never wants to take a picture, silly dog.
She really likes to sit on the bump, she throws a paw over these days. I like to thinks she's talking to her little sister, doubtful but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

Back to work, back to work tomorrow. Le sigh.
Hope your 4th was great and you got to spend time with those you love~
