Super Bowl Smoothie and then Greens to Detox (if needed!)

Whew...Monday's over already?!

Where did the weekend and the day go?

I do have two smoothies for you (Days 19 and 20)!

The first one I made on Super Bowl Sunday to start the day off right.

~Super Bowl Smoothie~

~Super Bowl Smoothie Recipe~

1 Banana
1 Honeycrisp Apple
2 handfuls Spinach
1/2 cup Vanilla Almond  Milk
1 cup Water
ice
Blend.

Extreme Close-up!

The smoothie made a big batch, 2 Mason jars full and I love the flavor of Honeycrisp Apple in it too!

I didn't watch all of the Superbowl, I teach Candlelight Yoga up at the studio and my class was mid-way through the game.
I did manage to meet up with Travis and friends, they were celebrating the Superbowl by frying things...they do a "Deep Fried Superbowl" most years and this year was full of fried candy, pb&j's, and some form of bacon with sausage. I think it was a success....
I had cheese dip and chips as I am not a meat eater!
Very yummy though!
: )

If you happened to over-indulge yesterday or any day really, the smoothie I made this morning was very good. Lots of healthy things and not too sweet.
It also isn't green so if your grossed out by the green of the green smoothie, this one's for you.

~Goji-Banana Goodness Smoothie~

~Goji-Banana Goodess Smoothie Recipe~

2 Big Handfuls Spinach
3/4 cup Frozen Blueberries
1 Banana
1/4 cup Goji Berries
1/2 cup Vanilla Almond Milk
1 cup Milk
Blend.

Dark Green Smoothie
As I look at this smoothie, I guess it would be kinda terrifying if you were hungover....but it REALLY is good.
And easy.
And Goji Berries give you energy which is what you need on a Monday anyway!
: )

Tomorrow is the last day of my Smoothie Challenge....I think it's been pretty successful!

I mean, I did it so that's a win!

I'll post my thoughts about it tomorrow, for now I'm off to bed!

Night~

My green smoothie this morning:

6 oz. unsweetened vanilla almond milk
handful of frozen blueberries
handful of kale
2/3-ish cup of cooked oatmeal
2 packets of stevia

Really, really rich tasting. Not very sweet at all. But very nice post-Super Bowl.

Nice!
I usually don't cook my oats when I put them in the smoothie, does it make the texture really creamy? And do you put them in while warm...?

I need to get back into Kale, I really like Kale, Avocado and Lemon salads!
