I miss my oats when I don't get them so, I did my smoothie with oats (gluten free of course!) this morning.
I have to say, it was really good!
I've never made a smoothie with oats before.
The concept confuses me. But it works great so I'm not gonna question it!
Here's my smoothie for day 3 of the Green Smoothie Challenge-
Oat and Berry Smoothie

Oat and Berry Smoothie Recipe
2 Big handfuls Spinach
1 cup frozen Strawberries
1/3 cup oats
1 cup almond milk
1 cup water
This smoothie was about 2 Mason jars full worth of goodness. I ate some for breakfast with peanut butter and half an apple, I ate the rest for part of my dinner....
I recommend you eat this one as soon as you make it, it was alright when I finally ate the rest but it the morning it was delicious!
I thought it tasted like oatmeal with sweet strawberry jelly, the almond milk really adds sweetness.
If you use skim milk or lite almond milk, that will change the taste of the smoothie and it probably won't be as good.
Just my opinion! : )
I'm not sure what I'll be making tomorrow....I have several apples so I have a feeling those are going into the blender!
