So CBJ turns 11 months old tomorrow.
I didn’t ever get around to her 10 month update….
Better late than never, right?
I guess this can be her 10 month review and let me tell you, she’s been busy.
Here’s the sticker shot…
And there’s no more sitting with her photo sessions.
Always on the move.
|Not gonna sit down for the pic mom.
Nice try though…
Eating anything and everything is also the usual.
Especially paper, tags, any type of chord (phone charger, computer charger, blowdryer) and anything the makes “crinkly” sounds.
|Nom, nom. nom|
I think the biggest change this past month is her size.
She’s always been a cuddly child but she has gotten so much much longer and heavier.
Now when I hold her, it feels like I’m holding a toddler, not a baby anymore.
This is bittersweet for me.
There’s always love that she’s getting more animated and interactive but I am constantly reminded of how much she is growing.
I have found something that helps me to deal a bit better with Clarabelle growing up…
I’ve started to write her letters.
Letters about our breast feeding sessions are the ones I have been writing.
If you read this blog, you know I breast feed CBJ and it is tremendously important to me.
I want her to know that.
I want her to see my hand writing telling her about what it means to me to feed her.
To hold her.
To have that time with her.
And as the days and weeks go by I know our time breast feeding is going to be moving closer to ending (I hope this is in a long time but it WILL end at some point).
So I write to her.
About what it feels like to hold her, to be quiet, to have that special time for just her and I.
And with the writing, my memories are out and I know they won’t slip away.
It helps me to be less clingy.
More open to change.
Change is good.
Lots of sass.
Wrinkling her nose and making sniffing noises is her thing.
Clearly we do it right back to her.
It’s kind of like talking.
|standing. all. the. time.|
And she’s a happy kid.
|She looks like a toddler, right?
Please believe she’s not always thrilled.
She likes what she likes when she likes it.
And make it snappy.
She does not like her changing table anymore.
She also isn’t into shoes (not that I try often), nor does she want her clothes changed.
Also not into having things taken away from her.
She does a pretty good hissy fit (and I would know…).
She’s gotten very good at shopping.
|mirrors are the ultimate shopping mom’s babysitter.|
She’s thinking about walking.
But really she “walks” along the window seals, the couches, her toy boxes.
I’m fine with the crawling, trust me.
More mobile is great but she already takes tumbles so I can’t imagine what walking CBJ will be like!
|supported baby steps|
She’s getting a bit more interested in food (not a ton though, I thought she’s be eating more but we nurse on and she keeps on trucking).
We’re still doing Baby Led-Weaning, still happy about it.
Some bread, green beans, cereals.
And she likes fruit (like her mama).
She’s having some apple in the pic below and is thrilled.
|I seriously LOVE this picture.|
So that’s been the past month in a brief review.
Clearly we have a good time around our house and Clare-booty keeps me on my toes.
Tomorrow she’ll be 11 months.
I’ve already got her 1st birthday decorations ordered (Etsy…you get me every time!).
Hopefully I’ll be a bit more prompt on her monthly “update” or you know, I’ll do another “review”.
